Yes, you heard me right! Our cell home has officially moved because Sue has moved!

It was a particularly quick move as the team was fantastically efficient in packing, carrying and loading the boxes in the cars and ofcourse unloading too. There were quite a number of us, 17 to be more exact – Kah Fai, Michelle, Mei, Leroy, Aaron Lim, Damien Lim, Chris Wong, Elizabeth, Bashida, Eleena, David Lee, Daniel Loke, Leonard, Thana, Felix, John and myself.

By 8plus the 8 cars were loaded with all of Sue and aunty’s stuff (question: Sue, do you really need all this?!) and off we went to the new place. For those of you overseas, it’s really the prettiest yellow thing!

We had the best time scaring people by loading entire lifts filled with stuff (till the lifts were pinging because we held the doors open for too long!) and pushing this really loud trolley with piles and piles of boxes. By 10, we were done and finish, so we stood around admiring the house, its view and peeking at the neighbours striking red wall (we’re not perves ok! we just caught a glimpse of the rara-red wall and assumed they would be pretty interesting people!).

So here’s where we’ll be having our cell next year!

And yes, there’s actually a framed-up version of the 10 commandments facing the toilet-bowl. Imagine that, Sue is really game on us having a spiritual encounter in whichever part of the house we’re in – even the toilet! See Leroy read, “Thou shalt not….” ahahahah…..

Last but not least, part of the team that stayed behind to chill out for a bit before mamaking!

i know its been a loooongggg time since the last entry and everyone probably forgot that we do indeed have a blog.

BUT….i think this is an achievement worth blogging about…& because i’m so proud of all of us, i must give everyone a big round of applause!!! hahahha.

last sat during service, Jonathan (or better known as Teck Seng) came to a few of us and said this (s0mewhere along these lines) :

After cell last fri, my cell members looked to me and said, “This is what a cell should be like…they were so connected and the fellowship was so good”

And i think he even mentioned that they enjoyed themselves very much *smiles*

Give yourselves a pat on the back ppl…we’ve done a great job & i think we can achieve even more if we continue to invite more frens to our cell Such fantastic hospitality!

after christmas service, we went to Village Park in Uptown for a drink. Yen came slightly later. She walked in with that thingy on the head with a clothes peg which says Merry Christmas clipped onto one of her reindeer ears. of course everyone was looking and laughing at her. but she consciously walked around with it, spreading the christmas cheer =) Believe me when i say she wore it from the moment she got out from her car till she got back into the car when we left for home…hehe. After all the commotion, this small boy came up to her and asked if he could take a pic with her..hehe. you go girl *wink*

and no….sorry to disappoint but i am no cell group leader. i’m just here to help…on assignment basis. Yen decided to throw this job to me now that i’ve got a camera…heh

ANYWAY….the long overdue event update! =)

KIOKU was held on the same day as the International Christmas Charity Bazaar, all YA cells were asked to help out in KIOKU instead…which apparently we do every year. for those who not sure wat me talking about…KIOKU – is for the OKU i.e. the Orang Kurang Upaya

and becos we had such great fellowship the day before at dinner in New Paris, SS2 and then dessert at KTZ, we only left about 11plus…& i got home by 12am. all of us were only half awake…

 of course…nothing helps more than a good early morning workout to work those hormones!

The hike up to the waterfalls…..I almost fainted…..well, I sort of like drained out of energy……how unfit I am…..even Eugene is doing better than I am….haha ;p

Well, it’s worth it all that hard work of hiking up and there Bergson and Mei…jump straight to the “Ski Buntut”

Roger: “Don’t worry, dear….you slide, I slide!”
Sarah: “Errrr…….okay!”

Roger: “Arrrggghhhh!!!!!”
Sarah: “Weeeeeeee~~~~!!!!”

Then, we climb to a higher level of the waterfall…..there….we……..

HAD BREAKFAST!…..well, sort of……haha

Kah Fai: “Here goes everyone! OPS~!…..forgot to put on timer mode……this is the result of the shot…..not bad”

Finally got the camera working on timer mode………haha

Mei: “How do look in the camera LCD?…….thin or not?”

Berg: “I felt like I’m growing horns~”
KF: “Aiya, no need to worry lar….just look at the camera”
Eugene: “Yalar~…..eh, can see my body or not arr, Kah Fai?” 
KF:”……………”

Oh my and was it a day to remember

Here we (actually more of the boys) were planning for Cell Ladies Appreciation Night when we were told that it was no longer going to be the emphasis, instead we were going to be walking through the Book of Ruth. And ofcourse, later on, to be tracting for the Paradise Live Concert.

But alas, the boys had already planned their surprise and managed to squish all of it in just one night! Yes, we might have ended a little later than expected but it was such a fantastic surprise! So much so that Kristin came to cell early too! Woohoo!

So what happeend? We were treated to a nice meal with our very own waiters! We had a three-course meal:-
          [+] appetizer – paus (yes, paus)
          [+] main course – Japanese Beef Curry with Rice
          [+] dessert – flour patties with red bean or choc fillings

And then they danced for us! Presented us with roses and tiny little spice bottles with blue pebbles and an “under-the-sea” finger puppet each and…voila! You have a happy bunch of girls!

It was really quite funny ‘cos the boys had agreed to come dressed as waiters but the only one who had a bow-tie was Yuya. So Roger and Kah Fai had to make paper ones, which actually looked very real!

Alright!!!! Here’s the day we’ve all been waiting for.

A time to bond, have fun and ofcourse eat lots! It’s going to be a really fun time just getting to know each other more. Update when it’s all done with!
